This is where the sustainable housing of the future is developed
Living Lab Lund is a unique innovation arena where research, society and business together develop the housing of the future.
In northeast Lund , HSB Skåne, Skanska and White Arkitekter are collaborating with academia, industry and the public sector to explore new ways of building, living and living sustainably. By combining research with people's everyday lives, a living test bed is created where new solutions can be developed, tested and evaluated in a real environment. The goal is not only to create an innovative housing project, but also to generate knowledge and experiences that can contribute to sustainable urban development in Sweden and internationally.
Four areas of focus
Living Lab Lund develops the sustainable living of the future through four collaborative focus areas.
Social sustainability and quality of life
We develop environments that promote community, well-being and security, with people
in focus.
Resource efficiency
Through circular material flows, smart resource choices and energy-efficient solutions, we reduce climate impact and conserve natural resources.
Economic sustainability
We explore solutions that create long-term value for both residents, property owners and society.
Research and innovation
Through close collaboration between research and practice, future solutions for sustainable construction and housing are developed and tested.
A place for the future of transformation
Living Lab Lund is more than a housing project. It is a place where ideas are put into practice and where tomorrow's sustainable housing solutions are developed together with the people who will live in them.
Living Lab Lund enters the next phase

The work on Living Lab Lund is now taking an important step forward. System document design and building permit design will begin this autumn, marking the start of the next phase in the project's development.
The project group is now working to translate the ambitions in sustainability, innovation and future living into concrete solutions. In the coming weeks, a major focus will be on identifying and further developing the innovation initiatives that will become part of the project.
At the same time, development of the project's design and technical solutions continues. Ongoing facade studies are investigating, among other things, how recycled materials can contribute to both reduced climate impact and a clear identity for the area in Brunnshög.
The choice of frame solution is also in focus. The project team is currently evaluating different alternatives to find the solution that best meets the project's high ambitions in sustainability, function and innovation. With the next design phase in place, Living Lab Lund continues to develop as an arena for new ideas and solutions in the sustainable housing of the future.
